The Iced Coconut Cream Matcha Latte I’m Drinking All Summer
It’s creamy, tropical, collagen-boosted, and the perfect low-sugar sip.
So apparently we’re back in our matcha era—because last week, my DMs were full of “matcha’s overrated” hot takes, and this week… everyone’s asking me for new matcha latte recipes. 😂
I’m not mad about it—because I live for matcha, and this one might be my favorite yet. Meet my Iced Coconut Cream Matcha Latte: it’s tropical, creamy, just the right amount of sweet, and secretly loaded with anti-aging and focus-supporting benefits thanks to collagen and MCT oil.
It’s low sugar, low carb, and feels like a little luxury on a hot afternoon.
🍵 Why This Matcha Hits Different
The coconut cream base makes it taste like vacation in a glass.
Matcha gives you energy without the crash (hello, L-theanine).
Collagen and MCT oil support skin, hair, nails, and brain health.
It’s lightly sweetened, sugar-free, and naturally low carb.
And yes—it’s easy to make at home. Just don’t burn your matcha (more on that below 👇).
💡 A Quick PSA on Matcha Flavor
If you’ve had a bad matcha experience and thought “ew, dirt water,” chances are someone used boiling water. Big mistake. Matcha is delicate and it needs warm, not hot, water or the flavor gets bitter.
Sift it, whisk it gently, don’t rush the prep. Your taste buds (and your skin) will thank you.
🛒 Ingredients
1 tsp ceremonial or high-quality matcha powder
2–3 tbsp warm water (not hot!)
⅓ cup unsweetened coconut milk (carton, not canned)
½ pump or ½ tsp sugar-free vanilla sweetener (I used the one from Alfred)
1 scoop collagen powder (I use unflavored)
1 tsp MCT oil or Bulletproof Brain Octane Oil
Ice
Optional: shredded coconut for topping
👩🍳 How to Make It
Sift your matcha into a small bowl and add warm (not hot) water. Whisk until smooth and lump-free. Set aside.
In a blender or frother, combine the coconut milk, sweetener, collagen, and MCT oil. Blend until creamy and frothy.
Fill a glass with ice and pour the coconut cream mixture over it.
Gently pour the matcha over the top to create layers.
Sprinkle with shredded coconut if you’re feeling fancy.
Sip, smile, repeat.
💬 Final Thoughts
This latte is everything I want in a summer drink: light, creamy, pretty, and functional. It supports glowing skin, keeps me focused, and satisfies that iced latte craving without a ton of sugar or a caffeine crash.
